Portal to the Heart Chakra Part 1

After my return from my ancestral trip back to Ireland, UK & Scotland, a friend mentioned she was running a writing course called Portals. The name intrigued me instantly as I had been feeling like I had been walking through portals for some time and that the mandalas or offerings that I was making had some meaning behind them and was hoping that doing this might unlock the meaning for me. Even though I am not a writer, the pull was too strong to ignore.

My writings on the chakras are what unfolded during the course and I just wanted to share here. With each writing (except the guided ones) I always made an offering in nature wherever I was led to and I was so intrigued at what unfolded during the week. Seemingly unrelated threads began weaving together by the time I had to write something toward the end of the week. I hope you enjoy these.

My journey into the heart chakra began with a guided meditation where I was led to meet the pool in my heart…….

As the narrow path opened before me,

I placed one foot in front of the other as I walked toward the pool of my heart.

I peered into its depths, it was dark, I could not see the bottom,

It felt mysteriously deep.

I could hear a quiet beating, the sound drawing me in closer.

I dipped my foot into the liquid. It felt thick and seemed to swallow it.

The other foot followed, and I began to slowly descend into the pool,

I became one with it, liquid, melting, melding.

I began to sense it’s beauty, it’s essence,

My essence, moving through my body

- expanding to every part of me, liquid golden, love.

Our heart beat’s began resonating, beating as one.

Ahhhh but I can sense an area of darkness,

A stagnation, a shadow, in the far corner.

Do not turn away I hear.

Feeling my body return to its original form,

I swim over to the shadow.

I begin to agitate the liquid with my feet.

Not too much. I hear.

Just a little. Easy does it. Go gently.

Now send your love in………
