Calendula officinalis

Calendula has been used for many hundreds of years as an ornamental, as well as for culinary, cosmetic and medicinal purposes. Calendula can be taken orally or applied topically. A powerful antioxidant, it is amongst the strongest of antiviral herbs. An anti-inflammatory, it calms muscle spasms, treats constipation, helps heal wounds, is antimicrobial, antiviral and improves oral health.

Anti-Microbial Foot / Body Powder or Paste

Make your own anti-microbial foot / body powder or mix with water to make a paste that is great for applying to insect bites.  Make your own face mask by mixing it with an equal part of cosmetic clay (I like to use Kaolin clay)  and enough water, witch hazel or oil to make a paste.  Leave on for about 10 minutes before rinsing it off.

Also makes a great natural yellow dye.
