Our eye pillows are made with 100% cotton fabrics, filled with organic flaxseeds, organic medicinal herbs and crystals to help you relax.  They can be used before you go to sleep or when meditating or resting - when you want complete darkness.  It shields your eyes from the light.  Gentle pressure applied to our extraocular muscles and/or eyeball helps to lower our pulse (known as oculocardiac reflex).  This reflex is connected to our vagus nerve and can stimulate this nerve -  communicating to our parasympathetic nervous system, telling our body that it is time to rest.

To relieve headaches put the eye pillow in the fridge or freezer for up to 30minutes and use on forehead.

Ingredients:  Organic Dried Lavender, Organic Dried Chamomile, Organic Flaxseeds, Orris Root Powder, Amethyst.

Organic Dried Lavender (Lavendula angustifolia):  Lavender is one of the herbs used to reduce anxiety and nervousness, producing feelings of calm and relaxation.  It is a mild sedative and hypnotic - helps with sleeping.

Organic Dried Chamomile (Matricaria recutita):  Chamomile is one of the best herbs to help with stress and anxiety and to promote relaxation.  Helps to relieve many emotional problems e.g. stress, depression, stress related headaches and insomnia.

Amethyst:  The amethyst has powerful anti-anxiety properties.  Helping to bring about a tranquil energy, it is known for absorbing and dispelling negative energies. Amethyst is thought to aid in clearing and opening the third eye chakra and can be used to facilitate meditation and deep relaxation, promoting a sense of peace and calm.

Dried Orris Root Powder (Iris germanica):  Orris root has been used since the times of Ancient Egypt. Traditionally used to sweeten the smell of perfumes and to keep linen smelling fresh as violets (the scent of the powder).  Today is used as a perfume fixative, a stabiliser in cosmetics and to colour many varieties of gin to name a few things.  It can also be used medicinally. Here we have used as a fixative.  Orris Root Powder comes from the rhizome of the Iris and takes 2 years or more for the violet scent to develop.
