Peppermint is antispasmodic, antiseptic, anaesthetic, astringent, analgesic and diaphoretic. It’s considered a tonic, decongestant, stimulant, stomachic and antiemetic.

Commonly used to relieve nausea and motion sickness, help IBS symptoms, aids in hangover relief,  calms, restores and lends clarity, helpful in relieving toothaches and headaches, and an energy booster.

When making a tea remember to cover the cup while the tea is infusing.

As a carminative, it helps to relax the muscles in our GI tract, it helps with bloating after a meal, stomach cramps, nausea, vomiting and diarrohea.  It is also known to help with IBS and colitis.

You can do an inhalation for nasal congestion.

Great for insect bites.

It is stimulating nervine and can help you to become more alert.

  • Use peppermint to help ease muscle pain (like menstrual cramps or overworked muscles).
  • A cup of peppermint tea can help you get through those times when you need a "pep" up.
  • Peppermint can help treat fevers associated with cold and flu by helping to open pores so that heat can more easily be released.
